About meHi, I'm Chris Webster. I'm an IT consultant based in Sydney, Australia. I work as an IT consultant for IBM Global Business Services in the Portals and Commerce Practice. I also work as part of the IBM Interactive team in Australia From a young age, I've had a keen interest in technology and making it accessible to others. This is one of the main drivers behind the creation of my cyberbullying website, www.cyberbullying.info, a couple of years ago. The website now receives over 100 visitors each day from all around the world. I created the website to educate others about cyberbullying and internet safety. From my research when making the site, I believe, as do many bullying experts, that the best weapon against this problem is awareness. I now update and maintain the website as well as presenting on cyber bullying and internet safety to groups of parents, teachers, students and heads of schools, in my spare time.
As a result of this work, I've had a number of mentions in both local and international press, and in 2006 I received a Commendation in the University of Technology, Sydney's Human Rights Awards in 2006. I also help an extended network of friends and family with anything IT-related, from "support" with a range of programs to networking, designing easy-to-maintain websites and SEO / SEM - I'm a Google Adwords Certified Professional.
